Sierra Leone oceans provide livelihoods for many communities. Our oceans also capture CO2 which stops climate change accelerating.
Our fishermen suffer because of illegal fishing by multi-nationals. Our oceans suffer because of plastic waste from Freetown. Our coastline is in danger from sand-mining causing beach erosion.
That's why we call for action on illegal fishing and a moratorium on all snad-mining in Western district.
If we protect the things that protect us we can fight climate change.
