SIERRA LEONE'S BIG SATURDAY CLEAN UP CLEANS UP!
Here in Fourah bay Road at PCMH Cottage Hospital and across Freetown Sierra Leone's fifth monthly National Cleaning Day sees more clean streets and communities reclaimed by citizens from the dirty and plastic pollution that has long-plagued our capital city and towns and villages throughout the nation. With clean gutters and drains, water's flowing freely through Freetown this rainy season, with some flash floods which thus far quickly subside.
Meanwhile in Makeni at Munku Makit the National Fire Service is called on to jet the streets clean and citizens bring their dirty to collection trucks.
And today also in Kono citizens left clean streets in capital Koidu
proof positive that this truly is a national cleaning day leaving our beautiful Salone, well, beautiful, just as she should be!
