We urgently need to transform our businesses and economy to a sustainable path where we put back what we take out from Mother Earth.
The Government should hasten development of a green growth framework tapping the potential of our unique natural capital and harnessing the ingenuity of our human capital - our youth and women - enabling businesses to focus on creating green jobs and a circular economy that takes advantage of our unlimited dirty and recycles plastics, papers and metals to create new products locally boosting entrepreneurship and reducing imports.
Our vision is for the development of an agile Sierra Leone, that is committed to rapid transformation to a sustainable path; a proud Sierra Leone that leads West Africa on climate adaptation and protection of our biodiversity and a prepared Sierra Leone where all our citizens are aware of the dangers of climate change impacts and action they can take to adapt to and mitigate against their effects.
