PREPARING THE GROUND FOR OUR DEAD
Today we were privileged to witness graves dug for three hundred souls from Monday's tragic mudslide and flooding to be buried tomorrow. A moving and overwhelming sight, graves for such a number of our brothers and sisters, uncles and aunties, mums and dads, we could not have imagined in our worst nightmares.
And we had the opportunity to talk to some of the grave-diggers and found the same stresses mortuary attendants reported with too many memories of burying Ebola dead still raw. We hope the Government will heed calls for direct on-going support for survivors of this national tragedy. long term mental health support for survivors and workers tending our dead..
