announcement of new fines of up to 500000 Leones signals an important part of the Mayor’s new Freetown Flood Mitigation Plan -taking effective enforcement action against the careless littering of our cities streets and hopefully changing behaviour.

We support the fines strategy the littering by market traders and citizens alike all ends up in our city’s waterways - blocking our gutters, culverts and Gullies - and when blocked contributes to flooding.
